A place to rest and a place to eat

A month has passed since our latest update on the Community Impact Center. As you can see, much progress has taken place. We have completed the main Center building, the roof is up on the mentor's house, and we began the construction for the dining area. In fact, the dining area is even closer to being built than these photos show that were taken on March 19. We have been busy landscaping, painting and getting the space prepared for the guys to come next week. The beds have arrived, the chalk board has been painted in the classroom, the plumbing and bathrooms are finished and the desks will arrive tomorrow. We also fixed the community bridge so that we could more easily access the center.

Beginning next week, our participants will be living here, attending Form One and growing in their relationships with Christ. They will be studying literature, social studies, agriculture, biology, physical science, mathematics, Bible knowledge and Geography/History. We will begin our weekly activities of one on one coaching, and soccer twice a week. Those in the Blantyre area, please stop by for a visit.

We look forward to welcoming the guys and to seeing this space become a place for rest, learning and nourishing souls.
